Something has been aggravating me. While I am happy that Islam is one of the most powerful religions of the world, and I am happy that it has been getting more reverts than any other religion is getting converts, I am still unhappy...

The reason is where America is really going, which is most likely not a good place in life.

The reason I write this is because of a current event that occurred in Syracuse University (a local college near my home.) Syracuse University OFFICIALLY accepted PAGANISM into their college. Now, I am NO ONE to judge, and the only spirit to judge is ALLAH... But I do get irked that they now have a group. Oh wait, scratch that... it's MORE THAN A GROUP.. it's an Association. It's called the "SU PAGAN ASSOCIATION."

They should call it the "Syracuse Pagans Who Relish In Their Association (WITH SATAN.)"

Ugh. Sorry, I just get aggravated with some of my friends who think thats "Okay" or even "Awesome"...

If only they knew true "Awesome"ness came from Allah!

It really reminded me of these verses from The Cow from Al-Qu'Ran...♥

[2.23] And if you are in doubt as to that which We have revealed to Our servant, then produce a chapter like it and call on your witnesses besides Allah if you are truthful.

[2.24] But if you do (it) not and never shall you do (it), then be on your guard against the fire of which men and stones are the fuel; it is prepared for the unbelievers.

The reason why the "Pagan Association" reminded me of this quote was because it basically summed up the Pagan belief, as well as many others. They doubt "which We have revealed to Our servant" and then they actually attempt to "produce a chapter like it" and call upon their idols to do it! And since they never can accomplish a comparable chapter, they must "be on their guard against the fire of which men and stones are the fuel;"

I don't understand why some people worship idols . I understand to a point - considering I was raised Christian, and sometimes I find it hard to not practice Christian holidays, and even beliefs. I believe this barrier between me & Allah is because I live with my Christian mother, and she doesn't like me talking about my Muslim life.

However, I know for a fact that if I prayed more--- I would definitely not have this difficulty. So, I'm starting myself out slow and praying 1 time a day at first. Then, when I feel I can manage another one, Pray again.

I really enjoy praying now.

But anyways, we should get back to the topic of Paganism in the USA....

Oh! And by the way... paganism isn't JUST at Syracuse! It's coming to a college near you, if it already hasn't....

I'm so sorry to Allah and hope that he forgives me, for my faith has run thin.

I'm Muslim, don't get me wrong.

But living in a house where I cannot let my spirituality thrive is harmful to my Iman.

Therefore, I CANNOT wait 'til i get to college !! !! !!

I'm still Muslim, but I fear wearing the hijab.

I don't feel like I can ever be myself.

My mothers a Christian, and as much as she tries to "support me"... I just don't feel it! I understand that it must be incredibly hard for her, as she probably hasn't been familiar with ANY Muslims/Muslimahs in her LIFE....

Anyways, I recently got a job! Woot!

I also got a new cellphone!!! AHHHH YAY

I wore my hijab today, and it looked nice and funky. And I even added a shiny pink bow hairclip to the side. Hahaha.

I looked awesome.

Sadly, I do not have a camera.

A Hijabi Practices her Priveledge Every Time She Wears Her Headcovering...

I find that many people look at me and wonder why I wear my hijab.

I attempt to respond with dignity and knowledge:

It is not a restriction, nor a form of opression... It is a RIGHT and a PRIVELEDGE to wear this hijab.

Some may wonder why. However, I have not always worn the hijab, and I currently am trying to get in a strict habit of it. However, I have problems because my boyfriend doesn't like my reversion to Islam.

He thinks it's "weird."

But I know he doesn't understand, and I will continue to pray for him.

Anyways, the thing is... I'm trying to become a better Muslim, and by doing so I must wear hijab. I am willing to do my best.

Now, for all those "devout" non-hijab wearers... I am no one to pass judgement. In fact, it is up to you. However, I think I may have a fact in history that may persuade you...

Do you know that the French government BANNED hijabs in schools? I don't know if this is common knowledge, nor do I care. Because people need to look at it this way: IF YOUR COUNTRY WAS LIKE FRANCE.... YOU WOULD NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE MODEST IN EVERYDAY LIFE. WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU COULD NOT WEAR YOUR HIJAB? WHAT IF IT WAS ILLEGAL? I THINK THE ANTI-MUSLIM FEELINGS WOULD GROW FROM CHRISTIANS, JEWS, ETC. .....

So just know that it is a RIGHT... a PRIVELEDGE.... TO WEAR YOUR HIJAB EVERYDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Learning is important!

FOR EXAMPLE... I recently have stopped wearing my hijab. My faith grew thin... but instead of giving up, I simply just get back on the horse, and ask more knowledgeable people for help. I ask them to give me verses from Al Qu'ran.... It's helpful. I need a reminder sometimes.

Salaam everyone.

I have always looked up to KimDonesia. Sadly, she is no longer a Muslimah. However, I am guilty of straying as well. Over the past few months, I haven't been on the site because of pressure to become Christian again.

Though I am definitely Muslim again, it will take me a while to remember and learn all that I have forgotten. I will have to learn to not swear, I will learn not to eat pork...

I will wear my Hijab.

Now This blog is about Allah, Kimdonesia and me. It's about me learning to not "look up" to people unless it is deserved. Allah should receive all the praise, and if I praise one person once, then I should praise Allah 10 more times for making them that way ! Basically, ALLAH DESERVES THE PRAISE.

Anyways, I just wanted to give you all a heads up on what I've been doing lately, and how I am learning to worship Allah and forget heroes.
Because in the end, they may turn against your God.

You see, I fell asleep in school (nurse's office, I was a bit sick then too!).. and I think I caught an illness while I was sleeping in the nurse's office. I mean, how many sick people walk in and out of that office???
And, of course, I have no clue exactly how many people entered & left the office because I was sleeping. However, I hope I get better.

Hey everyone! I recently went to the school counselor, and she said that journaling would really help my pent-up emotions from the past, present, & future. Well, anyways, this is a super-fun blog, but I really need to express more private thoughts as well. Therefore, I bought a diary with my sister. It's really fun. I am getting used to it, and I'm trying to write a page a day! (:

However, that DOESN'T mean that my work is done here! Nope! (: I'm here to stay !

Anyways, today I wore my hijab to school, and it was great. No one criticized me, and I felt very comfortable.

I'm doing well learning about the Arabic alphabet. Doin' good!!! (:

Ramadan Diary #1

I'm not sure what day of Ramadan it is, I just know it's a Sunday... Haha. I just recently (today) realized that it's Ramadan. No, I'm not a "bad" Muslim (I don't think so at least?)...
It's just that I converted recently and I am not sure about the practices. However, I'm going to start fasting today...

SO! Here's my diary entry, numero uno!

First of all, I'd like to state that I am not going to concentrate on the food as much as the spiritual growth that comes with abstaining from food.

I once read an interesting post on Yahoo! Answers, and someone answered a question about Ramadan food with the following,

i dont understand why people talk of only food in ramadan its quite ironical lol anyways my answer isin seher the proper food would be corn flakes with milk ofcourse, with banana slices....and u can also have bread with egg thats also fine....and in the iftar its a long list actually lol and u din ask that so im not gona busy my mind by doing that cos i kno eventually id feel like im starving lol

I bolded the part that struck me as spiritual and good.
All that aside, here's the food part. I have been awake about 5 hours and all I've eaten/drank was some Nutella & water.

Here's my spiritual part of this diary entry:

Well, my self esteem has been good today, considering that I am fasting well.(or at least I think I am) I feel like I can think clearer. I've been considering things easy that I would normally consider a "chore.".... Such as, sitting up straight and not slouching. I have bouts of apathy&laziness, which is why I would usually keep slouching and try to ignore my neck hurting.
Now, I'm not so bad with the laziness! Woot! Hopefully I keep this up, Insha'Allah! (:

Well, that's about it for now. I'll take some pictures of something interesting later, whatever that may be, ahah. Sometimes I find interesting things... And I take pictures. Soooo if that happens, I'll keep you updated!

This is me, in my old hijab. However, I gain/lose weight like a yo-yo, so I hardly recognize myself! Haha. I remember I just bought a big opaque wrap at walmart in the accessories department, and I was like... "Hmm..."
